2020 Life Chain
PRAYING TO END ABORTION Life Matters Humble. Pray. Seek. Turn. (2 Chronicles 7:14)
The Lycoming County Life Chain will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2020, on the Golden Strip (East Third Street) of Loyalsock Township at 2:30 p.m. All area churches are invited to participate. In 2019, over 1598 cites and towns held Life Chains along with the Lycoming County Life Chain. This is our 29th year locally, 32nd year nationally.
LIFE CHAIN is a peaceful, prayerful public witness of pro-life Americans standing in remembrance of 60 million lives lost to abortion, praying for our nation, for people in crisis situations and for an end to abortion. It is a visual statement of solidarity by the Christian community that abortion kills children, hurts women and men, and that the Church supports the sanctity of human life from the moment of conception to natural death. There will be stations set-up along the Golden Strip at 2:00 p.m. where you can pick up your Life Chain signs that are backprinted with Prayer Topics, Songs of Meditation, the Life Chain Code of Conduct, and a statement on The Purpose of LIFE CHAIN.
LIFE CHAIN is church oriented and pastor focused and the key to a successful Chain is for local pastors to educate their congregations about abortion and then lead them to join their local Life Chain on the sidewalks on the Golden Strip in Williamsport on Sunday, October 4, 2020 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. With firm pastoral support, a Life Chain will fulfill its potential for saving lives and changing hearts. www.nationallifechain.org
